63. The Cosmic Glue - Addendum

from an ancient inscription in the Elephant's cave near Goa (North-East India) around 200 AD, certainly wiped out by ignorants in the course of time (original was in Sanskrit and very poetic):

'We' is the fanfare announcing the begin of attack.	'Us' is the bell to call for retreat.
'We' is the rumbling sound when doing something that someone else doesn't want.	'Us' is the whining heard when someone does what one doesn't approve.
'We' is the chord struck when turning away from a loved one.	'Us' is the humming sound of being left behind.
'We' is the high-pitch flute trying to convince someone else.	'Us' is the display of innocence in the face of evidence.
'We' is the whistle in the background of hateful yelling.	'Us' is the justification for doing harm.
'We' is the bold feeling of having won.	'Us' comes with recognizing one's own defeat.
'We' is the soft vibration when the words "I love you" are uttered with all one's heart.	'Us' is the grateful lovers rejoice.

Recognizing these two vibrations as they are manifested, the sage
bows down - stretching his left hand to receive the bolt of Shiva,
and holding his right hand below his heart to receive the
vastness of Shakti - thus he proclaims:

Om Shiva Om Shakti Om!

Beyond the realm of the appearances [maayaa-dhatuu]
the agent remains unmoved by its agency [ka.rmaa]

This is the truth of the realms of the lower bondage [Earth - dhinaloka]
and this is the truth of the wondrous world of the higher bondage
[the 'magical Universe' - abhiloka]

Rulers of both worlds, I bid you farewell with all due respect.
My love and devotion is yours while my emanations retreat.

My total embracement of all the Created will dissolve all details.

What remains is only what has not been loved
by someone that is not a part of myself.

As I am leaving, the frequency of Creation itself will raise,
unnoticed by those who don't know your names.

As you know well: if there will be enough saints,
the lower world can't be sustained:

the play of giving and receiving shall once be again,
as it was - and as it was as you liked.

Thank you, Oh Shiva, thank you Oh Shakti!

Be kindful to me if I should ever return nine
before the onset of the dark times,
praising your glory and wishing you well !
